This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing modules.
You can drag and and drop to rearrange.
You can edit modules to customize them.
The left side has modules you can add!
Some modules you can only access when you get a subscription.
Some modules have options that are only available when you get a subscription.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain modules can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
I recently answered on a topic you commented on, it started being a discussion poll about politics before I came along. Now I just wanted to leave a few words, for not being missunderstood:
I won't blame you for being intrested in politics, far from it, I congratulate you for making your own estimation. It's important, especially for younger people, to get to know the differences between "modern" medias and reality. (Allthough this is a problem since mankind exists). I know it's (in my personal oppinion) the right for everyone to tell his position about any topic any time! So if I belive in it, I also have to accept people who have opposite views about cultural themes that disunite society. So this means I also listen to people that have analog positions you have.
I know some of the literature tipps you mentioned (f.e. David Irving) and I can understand positions that are given there. But please understand me too - I've got Hungarian, Russian, english, american and german ancestors, an iran aunt, an italian uncle, a cousin from portugal, one from Africa and one half-german-half-portugese (could continue a while further...). My family is definetly extrem multi-cultural! So this is why I definetly know that this form of society independent of race, origin, religion or estimation works!!! I'm born in Hamburg and proud of living under manifold cultures. But this just my way of living - I won't push anyone to follow it, but I expect everyone else accepting any form of culture or living unimportant if you like it or not!!!!
Anyway, the one and only reason why I made the effort to write all this is too ask just one tiny question:
WHY THE HELL HERE ON DA????
I'm kinda proud belonging to an artist community all over the world and with thousand of people out of hundreds countrys and places, religions and cultures. I don't claim where anyone here on da is from or what he thinks about politics, I don't ask what they think about themes like that - I'm only interrested in one thing - ART!
And if you took your while and looked around here on DA for a bit, you'll see that you'd find good artists all over the world unattached from any social stats.
Respecting this (and you can't deny!) would include not puplishing things that offend a specific part of them. Wherever they come from or whatever they do or think. Respect this please, I hope where a COMMUNITY, this includes RESPECT! If you like someones work or not!!!
So please think about these things I said at least a minute before you write an opposite position. I don't want to blame you or your estimation, but please spare us with your political thoughts!
Enjoy meeting art-interessted people all over the world and seeing so many awesome talented artist is enough reason to be here on DA. Better discuss things like those somewhere else on the www, there's enough space to do, so better concentrate on the real signification of Deviant Art.
Thanks for future reflecting. - An Art Freak...

Do your uncles, aunts and cousins all have different religions, languages, customs, traditions, ...? Otherwise, I'd say "multi-racial" is probably a better term.
Multi-racialism basically can work, though it's not recommendable. It is not recommendable because different races have different traits: physical, psychological and spiritual. By mixing, children tend to have traits from both. This can lead to eg. identity issues or ugliness, ...
Multi-culturalism is a different issues, though. That's practically impossible to work, especially for cultures very different from one another.
I'm kinda proud belonging to an artist community all over the world and with thousand of people out of hundreds countrys and places, religions and cultures. I don't claim where anyone here on da is from or what he thinks about politics, I don't ask what they think about themes like that - I'm only interrested in one thing - ART!
When I joined DA 5 years ago, I did this only to post some of my winamp skins. I then pretty much abandonned the site for about 2 years. Then, I basically rediscovered it and started both posting my wallpapers and getting active in the community.
Soon, I realised that there were many zionists, anarchists, communists or whatever promoting their views on this site through their deviations as well as discussion. I then got the idea to do the same. Back then I was still an anarchist.
When I had become a national socialist, I was very reluctant to upload any works about my new ideology. I was equally reluctant to actually speak out. The reason, of course, was that I feared losing the social status that I had gained in the meanwhile.
Eventually, I dediced to come out of the closet as a national socialist anyway. It all started with a few MSN icons, later followed by my first NS wallpapers. Of course, many people started attacking me for my views, but it had only an opposite effect. The more opposition I found, the more I felt encouraged to speak out. This is more or less how I got where I'm today.
I'm still here for the art, both political and non-political. I just also use DA as a way to speak of my views and defend them, as many other people have done before me and still do. Perhaps you are only interested in art, but this definitely isn't the case for many other members of DA.
Respecting this (and you can't deny!) would include not puplishing things that offend a specific part of them. Wherever they come from or whatever they do or think. Respect this please, I hope where a COMMUNITY, this includes RESPECT!
If some supporter of zionism posts a deviation with the Star of David or he calls Israel the greatest country in the world, I'm sure many Palestinians would feel offended. If some supporter of Hamas posts a deviation positive about the Intifada of speaks positive about the many things Hamas has done for his people (Hamas has for long been one of the few organisations providing welfare to the Palestinians), I'm sure many Israeli would feel offended. Yet, in both cases, both were just showing what they stand for without the intent to show any disrespect.
Even someone saying that he loves the US or making a tribute artwork to the US could offend some people, eg. Iraqi or Vietnamese people, let alone someone actually praising the US military.
Someone praising communism may be offensive to the victims of communism. Someone praising the use of certain narcotic substances may be offensive to someone who lost a family member to drug abuse. Someone openly speaking about sex or posting deviations containing full frontal nudity may offend a devout conservative christian. Someone promoting the abolition of speed limits may offend someone who lost a family member to a car accident. etc.
Art is basically nothing more than the expression of emotions or ideas, according to the art standards of the society in which it is produced. It is the same case with speech. Speech too is little more than an expression of emotions and ideas. If we were to liming this very expression to emotions or ideas that do not offend anyone, how much would there still remain to express?
I am aware of the fact that my views offend some people, but there is no intent from my side to offend anyone. They are my views because I believe them to be true, and I merely express those views as many other people on this site do with their views.
Further, it is highly ironic that the very people who do not wish me to speak freely as they feel offended by my views, often use severe insults, untruths and even uncovered hate speech towards me or my comrads at this site, while I always try to stay polite, respectful and patient.
I don't want to blame you or your estimation, but please spare us with your political thoughts!
Have you also said this to the many zionists, communists, anarchists, republicans, democrats, ... who make deviations promoting these views and/or often speak of them on this site? If not, then why did you do it with me? Why should I not have the same right and opportunity to express my views that they enjoy?
Better discuss things like those somewhere else on the www, there's enough space to do, so better concentrate on the real signification of Deviant Art.
Since the creation of DA many years ago, DA has evolved to something far greater than just a website to post art. It has become a community with all sorts of different people, with both a chatroom and forum where can be discussed on many different topics not related to art (of which politics is one). Therefor I fail to see why DA would not be a good place for this.
Further, there are actually very little places on the www that allow so much freedom of speech. Most internet communities do not allow any controversial speech on their website. By being one of the very few exceptions in this, DA makes the perfect place to excercise this freedom.
You may argue that there are many communities on the net with a majority of people who agree with (some of) the views I express. This is indeed true, however I fail to see my point discussing with people who already agree with what you have to say. It is far more rewarding to share ideas with someone who has ideas very different from your own.
To end this posts, I would also like to add that DA itself gives politics a place on their site. Not only is there the political forum, but there are also several art sections on this site. By this, DA admins have clearly shown that they appreciate political artworks being uploaded to their site as well as political discussions being held here. They have also openly stated that this freedom is not limited to some political views.

ok thanks
it seems that you have a very good knowledge of WWII
so my question is
why did the Axis powers attack Yugoslavia on April 6th 1941
although it signed the Tripartite pact March 25th (1941)
I want to hear your opinion
thanks
I must admit that I'm personally not very familiar with this particular issue. However, I forwarded your question and I got the following two replies as of this moment :
The 'coup' that happened on the 27th of March 1941. was organised by the British intelligence service. That imbecil Churchill was trying to buy some more time to prepare England's defences.
Yugoslavia was ruled by prince Paul at the time, because the heir to the throne was not old enough to become king. The prince (Serb dinasty, btw) signed a treaty with Germany allowing passage of supplies through Serbia. A croat, Macek, was head of the government at the time, and the government fell apart. In all that mess, the MI6 organised bolsheviks to rally against the the prince. Some of the corrupt army officers joined them, and the rest is history. Hitler was angry, and he decided to attack and capture Yugoslavia and Greece quickly, so the Reich wouldn't be threatened from the south-east.
In reality, Macek is to blame for all that happened. Had Yugoslavia not been attacked and disintegrated, Hitler would have had another ally and he would have had hundreds of thousends of troops available instead of having them patroll mountain ranges full of communist bandits.
There was also the issue of the Volksdeutschers in Slovenia and Vojvodina. There were about 800.000 Germans living in the Kingdom of Yugoslavia in 1941. That may have made Hitler even more eager to capture Yugoslavia.
I hope this suffises to answer your question.
